There was the time when her head hit the pillow hard, and she escaped with a sigh of bliss and eagerness into her restless dreamland.
There was the time she tried on a costume at the thrift store just for fun and then took like five hundred selfies with a filter on Snapchat to explore the person she saw in the mirror.
There was the time she confided in her friend in sixth grade, asking her if she'd ever heard of Freudian theories before. What she thought of them.
There was the time she spent two hundred and fifteen dollars on one purchase.
There was the time she had a conversation with a queer person she greatly admired, about her queerness. It felt like she was doing what she was meant to be doing.
There was the time where she had a very queer friend group, and it felt exciting and right.
There was the time she learned her feelings had a name, despite the dismissal and downplaying of female-bodied queer identities.
There was the time she had crushes on three or four girls at once, and wondered what the hell was wrong with her (in a lighthearted, exasperated way).
There was the time when she awoke from her dreamland to find that the happiness and sense of wonder she felt while asleep were still remaining, reminding, reminiscent.
There was the time she was content with her feelings remaining in her dreamland, or so she said…
